The Pier Bar
The Pier Bar Killybegs has a deep rooted history in the fishing town and the newly refurbished Tara Hotel gives it a welcome return on its lower ground floor. A warm traditional pub design, the new Pier Bar is full of character and charm with attractive wood panelling and guest’s high stools are dedicated to local businesses and attractions in the area. With its own dedicated entrance the Pier Bar at the Tara Hotel is a big hit locally in Killybegs with Live Music every weekend (7 nights June/July/August) and is dog freindly.
The Waterfront Restaurant
The stunning new Waterfront restaurant overlooking Killybegs Harbour opened in February 2025. Window seats with uninterrupted views for sunrise and sunset will be much sought after, in what is a warm design featuring dining booths and tables with 2 large equariums but more importantly a delicious menu of Killybegs finest fish and seafood combined with Donegal meats, game and local grown vegetables and salad ingredients.
The Waterfront Restaurant offers a perfect setting to enjoy special occasions.

Our Suites
Our Suites have 1 King Size Bed. These rooms are stylish and spacious and command a side facing view of the sea. . Warm bright décor, stylish furnishings and excellent facilities combine to create your private haven. They also have a comfortable sofa sitting area.
The Tara Suite
At the Tara Hotel we offer the wedding couple complimentary accommodation on their wedding night where they can begin their married life together in true style. The romantic Tara Suite features a lounging area with sofa and coffee table in a large open-styled room.
Double Rooms
All our Double Rooms have 1 Double Bed suitable for two people sharing or 1 person (single occupancy supplement applies). Rates include Full Irish Breakfast (unless otherwise specified), taxes and complimentary use of the Tara Hotel Gym.
